I have over the last 6 months completely changed the way I consume information and great/gifted people’s thoughts.
I have over the years been divulging various management and leadership books such as “Good to Great”, “7 Habits of Highly efficient people”, “Purple Cow”, “The Goal” and “Think and Grow rich” etcetera etcetera.
It’s been great learning from these masters and guru’s but not optimal in the way I live my life.
I just realized the other day though that my behavior consuming information has shifted completely. I no longer read management books, I now follow great peoples blog’s and their share their thoughts, I learn and it gets me inspired. I like it since it’s to the point- I get so much more out of the time I put in.
Here are some blog’s that I follow and that inspires me:

How do you take in information? Any bloggers to recommend?
Dear Alex!!!
ReplyDeletePlease read or take notice of the mailcorrespondance below, - and consider following quistion:
Do the customer have a fair chance to speak his case, in case something goes wrong when ordering tickets by Travelstart.
Or does he always just have to pay, - even in case where it is obviosly that he has done all what could be done, trying to get in contact with Travelstart.
Kindly regards

Hello Maike
Thank you very much !!! - (But please give a fair chance/possibility to respond in time).
I have been at work all day, and did not have possibility to check my gmail-account before returning to my home.
Which means that the deadline at 16.00 p.m. today allready is passed.
Isn´t possible to give me a little longer time to confirm the payment. (I´m checking my g-mail again tomorrow at 10 p.m.)
Kindly regards
Steffen Larsen
PS. Yoy still havent convinced me about the fairness in your claim, - but what can I do except just pay. -
It´s possible that it only takes a few minutes for the ticket to get issued after the payment was received, but in my case I made the payment as a transfer from my account in Nordea, - a payment I could have rejected immediately in my homebank (the moneytransfer took actually first place on the 4. of january - 5 days after ordering the tickets) instead of applying/requesting for changing the date by sending you an email as soon as I recognized the wrong date for the returnflight.
(I hope that you can understand why Im so ......) - Hopefully someone will speak my case ................

Hej
mvh.

Hi Steffen,
ReplyDeletewe always welcome any and all information from our customers, and we try our best to accomodate their wishes.
And all customers are very velcome to speak their case, as you put it, but unfortunately we must obide by the ticket rules and fee requirements issued by the airlines, so often any decisions regarding the tickets, are actually not up to us!
You must also consider that looking into ticket rules and executing ticket changes are very timeconsuming work, and therefore we simply cannot offer this service for free.
In your case, where you ordered and paid for a ticket with the wrong date.
We did not receive your request in time to look into the possibility of the airline possibly accepting a cancellation of the ticket ( always against fees ).
So the only other option is to try to change the ticket, and the airlines have varying fees for this ( if they allow changes in the first place ), as do Travelstart because it involves quite a bit of work.
I do understand that it may seem rigid that it's not possible to change a ticket right after it's been bought, but it can be explained this way:
an airplane ticket is considered a service and not goods - in the same way you cannot change your busticket once you stamped it ( the plane ticket is issued automatically when payment is confirmed ), but you can change a sweater you bought because it is not issued to you personally!
I hope you respect this answer and get a better understanding of what is happening on our side.
Sorry for what happened.
